
The Industry Connection Series features interactive panels with
mathematical scientists working in industry. The goal is to connect
mathematical sciences students directly with industry members who can
answer student-generated questions. Students at all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend and ask questions.
The next event is Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at 2 pm ET, focusing on connecting students to professionals working in HR and recruiting. Panelists will be Robert Ryder, recruiting manager at SubCom in Newington, NH, Parker Mitchell, head of HR at the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute, and Aleria S, who has worked for the NSA for over 19 years, and is the Math Hiring Director.

Robert Ryder, the recruiting manager at SubCom in Newington, NH, is responsible for filling open positions in engineering, finance, IT, procurement/buying, R&D, environmental, manufacturing and marine. Prior to SubCom, he spent 15 years in the staffing industry as a recruiter, account manager and a team leader responsible for running remote staffing teams. Robert holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Colby-Sawyer College and is certified by AIRS as a Certified Military Veteran Recruiter and Certified Diversity Recruiter.
